I just bought this Saddle. My dad tried to TAKE it from me before I could even get it out of the round tube!. :) Thanks for a Great product, I look forward to breaking it in and seeing it patina.
Just got my Blue Swift EHBPC today,no 175. I was going to put it on my best Road Bike but it's far to beautiful to be used. I think I will just keep it in pristine condition at least until the summer next year. A fantastic product. p.
Received my ECMC Berlin Blue today. Absolutely beautiful.
Q > There are two 4digit no. on the saddle (besides the 3digit code). One is locacted right above the 3digit code and the other one to the left of the 3digit code. Which of these numbers is telling what # of 250 my saddle is? Thanks alot Dan
Q > The number of your saddle is the 3 digit number matching the number on the box. The other codes are production date and number of the leather bend.
Q > Could we have not only some more coloured saddles, (particularly thinking a green/blue chrome swift) but also handlebar tape to match in those colours? and toe clip straps to match?
A > We are working on it :)
Q > Will we ever see a white leather saddle manufactured again?!
A > Soon we will release a White Team Pro, but it will be a limited edition. White BROOKS Saddles are much more difficult to make. It takes us more than triple the time than any other colour and lots of leather is wasted in the process. These are the reasons why we can't offer them in the standard range.
Q > Hi! Could we now in this Ipod age have White saddles in a range of models (and not just for the very exclusive few!), please.
A > White BROOKS Saddles are much more difficult to make. It takes us more than triple the time than any other colour and lots of leather is wasted in the process. These are the reasons why we can't offer them in the standard range.
Q>It would be exceedingly helpful to have a chart somewhere that rated the hardness of the various leathers used in the different models. Some of this gets mentioned for some saddles, B17N for example. but I would find it very useful for others as well. It is part of the decision process. A>The portion of the hide used for all road and mtb saddles is the same, i.e., the thickest part of the hide.
Q > I've gotten fixated on the brooks team Pro ECMC Berlin, but my bike has a custom titanium frame. I've shown the ECMC Berlin to friends and they all say the same thing, "If you can get that saddle with titanium rails order it." Is it possible? \Could I get the ECMC Berlin with a titanium under carriage (rails)
A > Each Coloured Limited Edition SWIFT and TEAM PRO is a series of only 250 pieces and all saddles have been already manufactured and sold, except 20 which we still have in our warehouse for online sales. It is not possible to have it with Titanium carriage.
Q > Could we please have colored saddles without logos? Please?
A > Not yet, we will make some available in about 1 year.
Q > I'm trying to order this through my local shop (Bike World Des moines, Ia) but I'm not having any luck any ideas when it will be avalible?
A > The Coloured Limited Editions have been shipped out to our distributors and wholesalers in July and August, so they should be available at local retailers.
Historically Brooks Saddles were all made with small copper rivets. Racers in the tours would have their Brooks Saddles conditioned and riveted with larger ones to make them last longer. Large copper rivets in fact are gentler to the leather top, so a few decades ago this practice was adopted in the manufacturing at Brooks. This is how the Special range was born. Each of the 9 copper rivets on the Special Saddles is hand hammered with great care by skilful craftsmen.
