What is L'Eroica
"L'EROICA" is a period cyclotouristic rally held mainly on gravel roads, organized since 1997. It is a special "race" from every point of view. It proposes surroundings and scenes from the "heroic" times of cycling: dust or mud, no organized service, vintage refreshments, wonderful and demanding roads, great ability to adapt and to suffer. We search for the authentic roots of the awesome popularity of that cycling world made by the giants of the roads, which created so much literary legends.

About ECMC
European Cycle Messenger Championships is an urban competition for bike messengers. Once in a year, European messengers converge to decide who are the fastest, smartest and trickiest messengers of that year. The mainrace will be held in a closed course and imitates the daily work in the city.
Although, the main race is the most important competition, various other races and events are organized to make all competitors happier and to make the event more colorful and unforgettable. The ECMC is not only a sporting event, rather is a celebration and a social event for bike messengers and all people who love bicycle and love to ride their bikes.
While most of the competitors are bike messengers, events are open to everyone.
About ECMC 2010
ECMC 2010 will be held in Budapest, Hungary, between 22-24 May, 2010 (Pentecost weekend). The races will take place on two different locations in the city, on the Millenaris Velodrome (22 May) and in the Csepel M?vek (23-24 May).
About Us
ECMC 2010 is organized by local messengers, ex-messengers and by their friends. Most of us have also organized the 2001 World Championship here in Budapest. Doing that we have learned how to make fun to all messengers who showed up, and now we try to make it better.
The main team members
Buppa, Kacsa, Kükü, Lackó, Nicos, Ninja, Serpa, Sinya, Spenót

The 2010 European Handmade Bicycle Exhibition brings together professional and non-professional builders of high quality, made-to-measure, custom bicycles and framesfrom all over Europe and beyond. The EHBE was the first show of its kind in Europe, withthe first gathering of this unique event held in 2009.
In much the same way as a tailor will measure the customer to produce a suit that fits exactly, it is possible to produce a bicycle that fits its rider precisely. This makes for a more comfortable, efficient and enjoyable bike, one the owner will enjoy riding and will want to cherish.
MTB, racing bikes, trekking, city and more exotic styles such as Singlespeed’s, 29er’s and recumbent bikes will all be on show. There will be bicycles produced from a wide variety of materials; aluminum, cro-mo steel, stainless steel, carbon and titanium.
The European Handmade Bicycle Exhibition will interest anyone who has ever ridden a bicycle! It will appeal to those considering the immense benefits of a handmade frame, those who already ride a handmade (or custom) bike; those who can appreciate fine handiwork and lovers of the art of the bicycle. The Exhibition provides the rare opportunity of not only seeing the work of different builders, but of meeting the masters of the art in person as well.
As in 2009, one of the most important points of the event is providing a platform for increased networking among European bicycle builders. By bringing together those involved in the craft of bicycle frame building - a small but important branch of the bicycle industry - we hope to create a broader public awareness of the handmade bicycle.
We will also be promoting the cause of bicycle culture. Not only for the important role of the bicycle in combating climate change, but also for physical and social benefits of cycling.
The purchase of a handmade frame strengthens and supports local workmanship and most of all, promises the customer the joy of owning a durable, unique and prestigious one-of-a-kind bicycle.

The London Tweed Run
10 April 2010
Hello chaps! Just a little reminder that registration for this year’s Tweed Run opens at 10:00 am on Saturday. To register, follow this link:
http://www.tweedrun.com/london2010/
The event is, of course, free but with only 400 spaces available, it promises to fill up quickly so please register early to avoid disappointment.
On the day
This year’s Tweed Run will be on 10 April. We’ll be setting off at 12 noon, on a comfortable-paced 12 mile ride which will take in the sites of Jolly Ol’ London. The Tweed Run is a civilised day out, not a race. We’ll make plenty of stops along the way, including a stop for a spot of tea in Kensington Gardens. We’ll be riding on open roads, but the wonderful Tweed Run marshals will be on hand to offer encouragement, expertise, and a hand fixing any ghastlies that might happen along the way. The ride will end in the City of London, with a bit of a party. We should have you home in time for dinner. All the details of the ride (including a map of the route) will be in the rider registration packs.
Spiff up, look sharp!
Now look here, proper attire is expected. Tweed suits, plus fours, bowties, cycling capes, and jaunty flat caps are all encouraged. I hate to be a bore but please, no beastly denim. Part of the magic of the event is the spectacle, so do please make an effort.
Heavy competition
There are several competitions on the day. This year, prizes will be awarded for the following:
Best Moustache (Sponsored by Geo F Trumpers)
Most Dapper Chap (Sponsored by H Hunstman & Sons)
Most Dashing Dame (Sponsored by Pashley Bicycles)
Most Enviable Period Bicycle (Sponsored by Brooks)
Best Decorated Bicycle (Sponsored by Bobbin Bicycles)
Our sponsors
We’d like give a big doff of the cap our major sponsors:
Brooks England
Pashley Bicycles
Hendrick’s Gin
And to our supporting sponsors:
Bobbin Bicycles
The Chap Magazine
Dashing Tweeds
Geo F Trumpers
Harris Tweed Heberdies
H Huntsman & Sons
Rapha Racing
TwoNFro
This event is supported by Southwark Cyclists and the LCC.
The Tweed Run benefits Bikes4Africa.
Cycle courier championships are important events for urban cyclists, and not just for the sake of competition, but also to recognize and celebrate urban cycling culture. Modern championships have been organized for the past fifteen or so years on national, continental, and world levels.
Last year, Madrid hosted the first CIMB, so now we in Iberia have our own annual championship!
The individual events of the weekend- organized rides, bike polo, the main race, a bike part swap, the parties- are different enough that there will be something for everyone.
